Mitchell Fitzmorris had two goals to lead the Caledonia Corvairs to a 6-2 victory over the St. Catharines Falcons.

Fitzmorris' tallies came at 1:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Caledonia and 19:52 into the first to make the score 3-1 Caledonia.

The win gave Caledonia a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Corvairs forced Falcons' goaltenders to work in net, firing 51 shots and forcing 45 saves. Joel Horodziejczyk made 32 stops and Cameron Gray made 13. Caledonia was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.
