In a league dominated by hitting, Jordan Kurokawa of Top Speed Baseball separated himself from the pack to win the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League's Pitcher of the Year award. The 6-3 right hander from Honolulu, Hawaii led the league in wins with 7, didn't lose a game and his 2.64 ranked 2nd in the GSCBL.

Kurokawa, a Junior at University of Hawaii-Hilo, punched out 47 hitters in 47.2 innings and was dominant down the stretch for a Top Speed team that won the league championship. The hard throwing righty went 5-0 over his last six starts and allowed just 6 runs and 21 hits over his last 38 innings on the mound.

Kurokawa is the first out-of-stater to win the award and joins Ross Slaney (South Bay Storm - 2014) and Kyle Slinger (San Francisco Seagulls - 2013) as the only players to take home the GSCBL Pitcher of the Year Award voted on by the seven league franchises.
