Registration Now Open For the 2012 NBL Canada Draft Combine
(TORONTO, ON) In collaboration with the ACTS Athlete Institute, the National Basketball League of Canada is proud to announce that registration is now open for the 2012 NBL Canada Draft Combine along with the Pre-Draft Training Program.
The 2012 NBL Canada Draft Combine and Pre-Draft Training Program will be hosted by the ACTS Athlete Institute which is located at 207321 Hwy 9 at Heart Lake Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 2Z2.
The Draft Combine will consist of two days, Saturday, August 25th and Sunday, August 26th. On the Saturday, the day will belong to all Canadian prospects that will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of team coaches, general managers, and owners in hopes of being selected for the 2012 NBL Canada Draft. The following Sunday, non-Canadian prospects will have the same opportunity to do likewise.
Preceding the Draft Combine will be the Pre-Draft Training Program. The Training Program will be held over the course of five days, August 20th through 24th. The program is specifically built for professional basketball athletes and will be staffed by NBA skill development trainers, strength & conditioning specialists, along with the professional staff of the ACTS Athlete Institute.
Notable NBL Canada players who’ve attended the inaugural 2011 NBL Canada Draft Combine include the 2011 #1 Overall Draft Selection & NBL Canada All-Star Morgan Lewis (Oshawa Power), 2011 NBL Canada Rookie of the Year & All-Star Game MVP Brandon Robinson (Oshawa Power), #3 Overall Draft Selection & NBL Canada All-Star Tyrone Levett (Halifax Rainmen), 2011 NBL Canada All-Star & 3-Point specialist Chris Cayole (Summerside Storm), and many more!
The 2012 NBL Canada Draft will be held Monday, August 27th, 2012 in Downtown Toronto, Ontario. Location is still TBD.
