Oakville, Ontario – The Oakville Blades are pleased to announce that forward Zach Bramwell has committed to Cornell University of the NCAA. He will join Cornell for either 2018-2019 or 2019-2020
Bramwell has been a prolific offensive threat for the Blades, recording a hat-trick against Whitby in October and scoring two goals on three other occasions. In 32 games played, Bramwell has recorded 15 goals and 27 points to sit fourth in team scoring. His 15 goals are the most of any player on the Blades.
Bramwell has had a busy season, playing at the Eastern Canada Cup back in November and earning a spot on Canada East’s training camp roster for the World Junior A Challenge. Before joining the blades, Bramwell led the GOJHL's Ancaster Avalanche in points with 62 and made his OJHL debut with the Burlington Cougars.
"We are thrilled to announce Zach's commitment to Cornell," said Blades General Manager Jordan Selinger. "He has been able to score goals at every level and we're confident he will be able to continue to do so going forward in his hockey career. He has fit in seamlessly with the great group we have in Oakville and will continue to contribute to our success going forward"
The Blades are back in action on Sunday with a 2:00 PM start against the Wellington Dukes. Oakville’s next home game is next Friday when the Blades host Orangeville at 7:30 PM. Hope to see you there!
