DELMAS COMMITS TO NIAGARA
Aurora Tigers alternate captain Noah Delmas (photo credit - Brian Watts/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Niagara University Purple Eagles beginning with the 2016-17 Atlantic Hockey season.
The Newmarket, Ontario native joined the Tigers in 2013-14 out of the York-Simcoe Express 'AAA' organization. The rookie rearguard played 44 regular season games for the club, finishing third in scoring among defencemen with 16 points. Delmas was then a key member of the club's blueline during their North-East Conference Championship run, ultimately finishing as runner-up to the Toronto Patriots in the OJHL Championship Series. Delmas finished second on the Tigers d-corps in scoring with 7 points in 19 post-season contests.
Now one of the club's veterans this season, Delmas has continued his progression into an elite defenceman and was integral in the club capturing its first OJHL Regular Season title since 2007. Not only did he finish second in scoring to 1st Team All-Star and teammate Eric Williams, but he finished sixth overall in scoring among all OJHL defenders with 36 assists and 42 points in 51 games played. Delmas' efforts earned a spot on Team OJHL Oates, recording three points in five games, tops among d-men on the squad, as they went on to capture the 2014 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge in Toronto.
Congratulations to Noah and best of luck in the post-season and beyond!
