11 CJHL PLAYERS ON CENTRAL SCOUTING LIST

NHL Central Scouting today released the Final Rankings for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Eleven CJHL players from four leagues were identified in the Final Rankings which included 11 skaters.
Marcus Vela of the Langley Rivermen (BCHL) is the recipient of the CJHL’s Top NHL Prospect Award as the highest ranked CJHL player at 131st on the North American Skaters list. Vela finished his second year with the Rivermen and enjoyed a season which saw him tally 20 times and pick up 47 points in 50 games to go along with 57 penalty minutes.
The 18 year old from Burnaby, BC was a member of Team Canada West at the 2014 World Junior A Challenge held in Kindersley, SK and was selected to play in the 2014 -2015 CJHL Prospects Game in Oakville, ON. The 6’ 2” forward has committed to the University of New Hampshire for the 2015 – 2016 season.
The Final Rankings includes five players from the BCHL, three players from the AJHL and a player from each the OJHL and MJHL.
