COOK COMMITS TO LAURIER
Wellington Dukes forward Will Cook (photo credit - Amy Deroche/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Wilfrid Laurier University Golden Hawks beginning with the 2015-16 OUA season.
The Port Stanley, Ontario native joined the Dukes part-way through this past season and despite missing 16 games he managed to finish the year with 50 points (1.3 points-per-game average), including 20 goals, to finish third on the club in overall scoring. Cook had a 13 game point streak, as well as six game-winning goals which was fifth best total in the entire OJHL. He would be named Dukes Playoff MVP after tying for the team lead in scoring with five points, picking up at least one point in all four games played. Prior to joining the Dukes, Cook played the previous two-and-a-half seasons in the BCHL with Langley and Coquitlam.
Congratulations to Will on the commitment and best of luck in the OUA!
