The OJHL announced today that Wellington Dukes alternate captain Luc Brown (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has been named the Gongshow Gear North-East Conference Player-of-the-Month for November after leading the entire OJHL with 19 points in just 10 games played during the month.

Named runner-up for the award in September, Brown continued to be the driving force behind the Dukes offence, helping them to an 8-1-1 record in November.  After failing to record a point in a loss to open the month, Brown went on a nine game point scoring streak that included 8 goals and 11 assists, while notching four game winners, including back-to-back winning goals over division rival Cobourg.  With five multi-point games, his month was highlighted by a four point outing versus Mississauga, as well as registering three points on three separate occasions.

The 19-year old native of Napanee, Ontario is currently in his fourth full season with the Dukes out of the Quinte Red Devils Minor Midget 'AAA' organization.  After a slow start to his career as a 16-year old, Brown's offensive production has accelerated each season of his career, becoming one of the league's top scorers this year.  Brown has already set career-highs this season and sits second among all OJHL players with 21 goals, 26 assists and 47 points, while leading the league with seven game-winning goals.  A key member of the Dukes special teams, he also leads the OJHL with 8 power play goals and 17 power play points.  Brown was a member of Team OJHL Oates at the recent Eastern Canada Cup All-Star Challenge held in Cornwall, Ontario and earlier this year, he confirmed his commitment to join the Union College Dutchmen beginning with the 2016-17 ECAC season.

Adam Clements of the Trenton Golden Hawks was runner-up to Brown as the North-East Conference Player-of-the-Month.  The veteran defenceman led all OJHL scorers with 14 assists during the month and recorded 15 total points in 9 games played.
