Josh Leblanc of the Kingston Voyageurs (photo credit – Ian Dixon/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the NCAA Division 3 Oswego State Lakers beginning with the 2018-19 season.

Leblanc confirmed the commitment on Twitter Sunday. He joins linemate Rob Clerc and former Vees star netminder David Richer for the Green and Gold in New York State.

The native of Odessa came to the Vees in the summer of 2016 in a three-way trade with the Brockville Braves and Smiths Falls Bears, which sent local product Colin Tonge to the Braves. In his time with the Bears, the Greater Kingston Frontenacs AAA product was named to the CCHL All-Rookie Team.

In Kingston, Leblanc scored over 60 points in both his seasons with the Vees, winning the Vees top scorer award twice. He will finish ranked 11th in all-time Vees scoring, only trailing Adam Brady in career points while only playing two seasons with the team. In nine career Vees playoff games, Leblanc scored nine points.

Congratulations to Josh and best of luck in the NCAA!
