NEWMARKET'S DEDONATO COMMITS TO BROCK
Christian Dedonato of the Newmarket Hurricanes (photo credit – Catherine Kim/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Brock Badgers of U Sports beginning with the 2018-19 season.
Dedonato, the team’s co-captain, played for his hometown Hurricanes for all five years of junior eligibility – the first player in franchise history to do this.
The 5-foot-10 defenceman accumulated 141 points (22G/119A) in 248 regular-season games with Newmarket, pus 30 playoff tilts. Those games played represent another team record.
Now 21, he is a graduate of the York Simcoe Express AAA program.
