TRENTON’S OBEROI COMMITS TO OTTAWA GEE-GEES
Anand Oberoi of the Trenton Golden Hawks (photo credit – Amy Deroche / OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees beginning with the 2020-21 season.
The 6-foot-4 resident of the Ottawa-area community of Kanata joined the Golden Hawks in September of 2019 from the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League.
In 26 appearances last season, Oberoi posted a .930 save percentage and posted 14 wins. He was November's KEWL OJHL Goaltender of the Month.
This season, Oberoi is 5-3-1 with a 2.47 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.
The 8-2-0-1 Golden Hawks were in first place in the OJHL’s East Division heading into play this week.
Oberoi, 20, played junior for the Kanata Lasers of the CCHL in 2016-17.

The OJHL, the largest Jr. A hockey league in Canada, had more than 125 NCAA, U Sports, CHL and professional commitments in 2018-19 – including 65 NCAA Division I scholarships.
