OJHL HONOURING ALL-STAR, INSTAT PROSPECT GAME SELECTIONS
March 25, 2022, Mississauga, ON – The Ontario Junior Hockey League announced today that the league and its teams will honour the players who were selected to participate in the OJHL All-Star Celebration that was scheduled for mid-January in Collingwood, Ontario. The celebration, including the OJHL All-Star Game and InStat OJHL Prospects Game, was cancelled due to provincial COVID-19 restrictions and the one-month shutdown earlier this season.
“Although the league was unable to schedule the January All-Star Weekend in Collingwood, we wanted to ensure we celebrated and recognized the league’s All-Star and Prospects Teams,” said Marty Savoy, OJHL Commissioner. “The All-Star and Prospects Team selections are significant accomplishments for our players every season and although there will be no game each player will be identified and awarded for being selected to the teams.”
Players selected from the 21 OJHL teams for both games will be honoured during pre-game ceremonies in their home arenas before regular season or playoff games during the next three weeks. Each player will receive a specially designed commemorative plaque with an OJHL individualized action image, supplied by OJHL Images, created by Jostens Canada.
