- JOHNNY KOVACEVIC – OTTAWA JR. SENATORS -

The hulking 17 year old Grimsby Ontario native is in his first season of CCHL action where he suits up for the Ottawa Jr. Senators.  Drafted in the 12th round by the Niagara IceDogs in the 2013 OHL Priority Draft, Kovacevic decided to take the Junior A route as he was looking to earn himself an NCAA scholarship.  He didn’t have to wait long as he committed to NCAA Merimack College in mid December and will join the Warriors for the 2016-17 school year.

A graduate of “The Hill Academy U-16 Prep Program”, Kovacevic is adjusting well to junior hockey as he does not look out of place what so ever.  Already listed at 6’4, 217 lbs and still growing, Kovacevic brings plenty of size to the table and makes life miserable down low and in the corners for opposing forwards.  He has a lot of untapped offensive potential and has a very high hockey IQ.  He delivers a hard crisp first pass and is hard to beat one on one.
