Are you interested in becoming a Spartan? Allow me to introduce the University of Tampa and our Men’s Hockey program to you.
Located in beautiful Tampa, Florida, the University of Tampa fosters the perfect environment for an amazing college experience. UT is situated steps from one of the fastest growing cities in the country, just 10 minutes from an international airport and a short drive of America’s most famous beaches. In addition, the vibrant city of Tampa, with its year-round tropical climate makes the Sunshine state the premier destination for top student-athletes.
The Tampa Men’s Hockey program is currently a member of the Collegiate Hockey Federation (CHF) Division II Southern Collegiate Hockey Conference (SCHC), which is consistently regarded as a top conference in the country. Previously a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association, the UT Hockey program has advanced to the ACHA postseason for five consecutive seasons dating back to 2014 and has advanced to the National Tournament in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
Our program plays at Clearwater Ice Arena, which was newly constructed in 2017. The arena is a short 15-minute drive away from UT's campus, and features many amenities that make the college hockey experience memorable and enjoyable, this includes a player pro-shop, and a top of the line locker room.
Attending the University of Tampa is in itself an amazing accomplishment. The Sykes College of Business was recently ranked in the top 25 Best Value Business Schools by Business Insider, in addition to other top-rated programs at the university.
