The 2020 ACHA Men's Division 1 National Championships will take place in Frisco, Texas. The tournament is a twenty team, single-elimination format with the top twelve teams receiving a first-round bye.

Team Selection
1. The Top 20 from the final ACHA Men's D1 National Ranking are seeded #1 - #20. Tournament seeding shall be determined by the Computerized Rankings Average. Ties are broken by the Computerized Rankings Average.
2. The regular season or playoff champion as determined by each league from each of the six qualified ACHA Men's D1 leagues will automatically qualify for the tournament. Should a team receiving an automatic berth not be ranked in the Top 20, then the lowest ranked team will be bumped from the tournament. This will continue until all automatic berth teams have been moved into the Top 20.

i. CHMA – College Hockey Mid-America (PLAYOFF CHAMPION)
ii. ECHA - Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association (REGULAR SEASON CHAMPION)
iii. ESCHL – Eastern States Collegiate Hockey League (REGULAR SEASON CHAMPION)
iv. GLCHL - Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League (REGULAR SEASON CHAMPION)
v. NECHL- Northeast Collegiate Hockey League (PLAYOFF CHAMPION)
vi. WCHL - Western Collegiate Hockey League (REGULAR SEASON CHAMPION)
