During the course of a game or throughout the day either the Umpire or League Representative will determine if the field conditions are safe and acceptable for play. If lightening or extreme weather conditions occur the game will be suspended up to 15 minutes. If the suspension exceeds 15 minutes the game will be considered cancelled and will only be replayed if less then 4 innings were completed or 3.5 innings if the home team was winning.
The League will first post any weather updates and cancellations to our Facebook page Facebook.com/SportsParkSloPitchLeagues
Players encouraged to like the Facebook page to receive the quickiest updates. Emails will only be sent to Captains when time permits, such as when games are canceled in the morning or afternoon before leagues begins. Every effort will be made to contact Captains when cancellations happen but due to the volume of teams in each league patience and the use of Facebook is appreciated.
Every effort will be made to make up games lost to “rainouts” throughout the season. The League reserves the right to reschedule games as double headers or on any alternate night at least 3 weeks before hand without approval from the respective teams.
