Delta Youth Soccer Association (DYSA) oversees, administers and assists member clubs within the Delta District and manages the District Select Program. The District board is the liaison between the Clubs and BC Soccer, the governing body of soccer within B.C.
The Delta District is comprised of:
South Delta United Soccer Club
The District board is responsible for scheduling U11-U14 House/Development games and works with District boards throughout the lower mainland to schedule Select, Gold and Silver games as well as 5 District Bronze/Red games. The District Board also has representation on the BCYSSL (Select) board.
The DYSA also handles provincial registration and movement of players, provincial fees, risk management, player discipline, booking officials for Delta Cup and Provincial games, game statistics, tournament and team travel approvals, and coaching advice. The Board will also mediate any Club problems, when requested to do so.
In 2011, BC Soccer approved the introduction of a new BC Soccer Premier League. Eight franchises were awarded across the province. Delta District member club Peace Arch teamed with the South Surrey based girls club, Semiahmoo Soccer Club to form South Fraser Soccer Club.
South Fraser Soccer Club was granted one of the eight franchises. High performance players playing within the Delta District are encouraged to play for South Fraser.
