With a mission to liberate the tri state region from the tyranny of local hockey, a group of patriots had an idea to let freedom ring upon the ice and relocate a junior hockey franchise from Boston to Philadelphia. With this, they proclaimed, “give me liberty or give me hockey”. As the bell of liberty rang unto the City of Brotherly Love, The Philadelphia Revolution was established to bring a new level of Junior Hockey to the place where our nation’s constitution was born. With the intention to provide players an alternative to “going away” to play at a higher level, the Rev was established in 2009. In its short 6 year history, the organization has placed more players in NCAA Division I and III ranks than all the other Philadelphia teams combined. With an emphasis on collegiate placement, the Revolution has also placed players in the NHL, AHL and ECHL. This has resulted from the tireless dedication and commitment from its staff, aka “the militia”.
The Revolution Organization’s teams play in some of USA Hockey’s top Junior Leagues. The Eastern Hockey League (EHL), The Metropolitan Junior Hockey League (MET), the East Coast Elite League (ECEL) and The Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League (EJEPL). The Organization’s Teams plays their home games in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania, at the Rink @ Warwick. For the 2015 - 2016 Season, the Revolution will be fielding Elite Teams at the U19, U16, U14, and U12 Levels.
The primary emphasis of the Revolution is to nurture young men who play hockey and develop them into Elite Level, Student-Athletes. All of our players who graduate from the program will be prepared to play at the NCAA Level. Each player that is accepted into our organization is challenged with a rigorous physical and mental training regimen. This includes daily on and off ice conditioning and practices with the areas best coaches and trainers. In addition, they are required to attend Skill and Academic Development sessions to monitor their educational acumen.
