Maksymum Hockey offers a variety of programs designed to benefit the developing youth hockey player. Our camps, clinics and private hockey lesson packages cover all aspects of skills development, from skating to motivational techniques.
SKATING
Skating is the most important part of the game and we will help you to improve by mastering the fundamentals. Develop a stronger and more efficient stride, increase foot speed and lateral movement, and learn how to accelerate in an instant and stop on a dime. This will all be accomplished by improving technique, increasing strength, and developing balance. Your improved skating will give you the confidence you need to master the other aspects of hockey.
SCORING
Learn how to bury the biscuit! All aspects of scoring will be taught including dekes, fakes, deflections and more. We will not only teach you the different shots, but how and when to use them.
STICKHANDLING
Learn how to handle the puck in traffic or on the fly. We'll teach you the different dekes and fakes that will not only improve your game but increase your creativity on the ice as well.
GOALTENDING
At Maksymum Hockey we take a different approach to goaltending. We cover all sides of the puck, every aspect of goaltending, including the shooter's perspective. We build a better goaltender by concentrating on improving each individual student's particular style and strengths.
MOTIVATION AND CONDITIONING
Motivation and discipline come from within. At Maksymum Hockey we help the player cultivate these attributes by visualizing and realizing the end results of hard work. Mental and physical conditioning is a direct result of motivation and discipline. The game of hockey requires the body to use muscles seldom used in everyday life. Imagine your speed, power, and confidence if these muscles were developed and coordinated. It's hard work, but the end result is definitely worth the effort!
GAME SITUATIONS
We pride ourselves in teaching our students how to apply the skills they have learned in realistic game situations. Learning how to read and react on the ice gives our players the advantage because they develop the ability to anticipate plays and react accordingly. We teach you how to be a step ahead of the game!
