Simon Waston will begin his second year with the KC Mavs Elite program. Having served his first season as the 16U Head Coach, Watson will oversee both the 18&16u bench for 2014-15 season. Coach Watson, a Waterloo, Ontario native played his college hockey at St. Lawrence University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psycholgy & a Master's in Educational Leadership.
After his college career, Watson went on to play five years in the Central Hockey League amassing 95 goals and 125 assists in 298 games. Watson was named CHL's Man of the Year following the 2010-11 season for his contributions to the community off the ice. Following his playing career Watson spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Missouri Mavericks before continuting to his current role with the pro team as Director of Player Personnal.
