Dear Blades Alumni & Fans
As you may already know, the Blenheim Blades have been operating as a community hockey team since 1965. Over the years we have constantly been trying to upgrade and become better and stronger as an organization and currently, we are looking to upgrade our skate sharpening equipment.
We currently have an older, smaller sharpener (that technically is portable) and recently we were presented with an opportunity to acquire a much newer, more modern Blademaster machine at a cost of approximately $4,000. This same machine retails new for approximately $12,000. This upgrade would help us out in staying ahead of future anticipated higher equipment costs, and we would then put the other sharpener to use in helping the players keep their competitive edge on the road which we previously did not do as we did not want to risk taking our only sharpener to away games.
Here’s where you come in. We are asking for your support in the purchase of our new machine. In exchange, we are offering to have your name prominently listed in our program and on our website as a contributor to our new, updated skate sharpener. We would be willing to accept any amount you would be willing to offer as a contribution and would be willing to provide a receipt for anything over $20.00.
