The Red Raider travel softball system is truly a unique program, offering players a choice between 3 distinct types of softball, depending on the player’s immediate and future goals. The mission of Red Raider Softball is to provide opportunities for any aspiring female athlete to play fastpitch softball. Our goal is to provide access to the best training, the best facilities and the overall best experience that we can. Anyone can form a softball team. The difference is in the training and the stability of the organization.
ELITE SOFTBALL
This is a more highly disciplined level of softball for the dedicated, disciplined player who is seeking to continue her softball career at the collegiate level. Emphasis here is on teamwork, discipline, attitude, fitness, scholastic achievement, respect and citizenship are all emphasized while players are actively seeking to perfect their skills individually and as a team. This team will participate in events with a goal of college recruitment. Player will be given opportunities to create an appropriate resume and recruiting video plus taught how to market themselves to potential college coaches. This team will compete in “A” level or higher. Our ELITE players will be exposed to college coaches through showcase events and otherwise. They will also participate in winter college camps as a team, which may also require travel to some surrounding states. Our ELITE program is for serious players with aspirations to play college ball and willing to do the things necessary to get there. The parents must be willing to be committed with respect to their daughter's traveling as well.

SELECT SOFTBALL
Our SELECT softball program is 11 months of softball training, mentoring and gameplay for the highly motivated, committed player. Designed for the softball player that aspires to play at the higher level, such as college, the SELECT program is the footing for a great softball career. The finer details of strategy, training and dedication are emphasized as well as higher level skills such as slapping, drag bunting, sliding, delayed steals, sacrifice plays, speed & agility are all taught.Players are hand selected by our coaching staff from the general tryout. Teams participate in local, regional and national tournament events as well college showcase tournaments (depending on the age group). Tryouts are required to be considered for a position on our select softball teams.

CLASSIC SOFTBALL
A player’s introduction to the world of travel softball. This program is the next level up from REC softball. This is for the player who wants to pursue a more competitive program of softball. More intermediate skills are emphasized like bunting, sliding, stealing, game strategy, conditioning in a fun and team building atmosphere. This is a program where girls who want to improve, refine and perfect their skills go to learn how to play the game they love more competitively in a fun and team-centered environment. Teams will compete in local league play plus 1-2 “All-Star” or “C” level tournaments.
10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U

Fall League play
Winter training – 2hours 1x week + 1 hour speed, agility and conditioning
Includes batting training
Spring/Summer league + 1 tourney of choice and Williamsburg
NOTE: Uniforms are required for all players and are purchased at an additional charge of $250 ($285 for Premier)
