Owner/GM/Field Manager: Mike Montaño

38 years old , 18 years coaching experience.

Coach Montaño is the current Assistant Head Coach at Victor Valley College. He coached in Las Vegas, New Mexico at Luna Community College and is a former recruiter for Colorado State University at Pueblo. Montaño scouted for the Indians, Brewers, and coached the Nationals and Marlins Scout Teams. He is a Colton High School grad and is currently attending San Bernardino Valley College.

Assistant Coach: AC Nunez

Coach Nunez has his degrees in Kinesiology and Psychology with a minor in Human Development. His coaching career began as a Strength and Conditioning coach in the Monterey area for two years. This is his first year as a baseball coach at the collegiate level.

He was born and raised in Corona, California. He played outfield for Cal State Monterey Bay for four years under Head Coach Walter White, and was apart of various conference champion teams at CSUMB.

Assistant Coach: Michael Gonzalez

Coach Gonzalez is entering his 28th year of coaching and his first season with the California Jays. Gonzalez has coached throughout Southern California at the youth, high school, Junior College, and University levels. Along the way, Gonzalez has won and been a part of conference championships, state playoffs, and regional postseasons. Most recently Gonzalez joined Shepherd University as their Head Baseball Coach in 2017.

In his time at Bethesda University, Gonzalez built a winning program. He lead Bethesda to Back to Back NCCAA World Series appearances, finishing as the National Runner-Up in 2016. On the field, Gonzalez has tutored multiple players who have received NCCAA Western Regional Honors and four NCCAA All-Americans. Over the past 27 years, Gonzalez has coached many players who have signed professional contracts with independent, international, and Major League Baseball teams. Several players are currently playing in MiLB and in Major League Baseball. Gonzalez currently serves as a Professional International Scout and Baseball Consultant.
