Ice Hockey at San José State University, Division III Team, is entering its fifth year of existence and competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association by way of the Pacific Collegiate Hockey Association. After withdrawing from competition in 2012-13, the team struggled to be competitive in 2013-14. The team has twelve returning players and adding three new recruits for the 2014-15 season. The Spartans are expecting a huge improvement from the previous season, but will face challenges late in the year with many of the team's seniors graduating after the fall semester.
