JOHN KIT – Q & A

Q:  How did your Team Ontario coaches influence your development as a lacrosse player?
A: The Team Ontario coaches helped me develop as a player by having me play LSM. This helped me develop my ability to run with the ball.

Q:  How did playing in a Canadian Lacrosse Association National Championship help you to prepare for CUFLA Nationals?
A:  Playing in the Canadian Lacrosse Association National Championship help me develop confidence in my own ability and to play my best regardless of the situation. I was able to relate this past experience to help me prepare for the CUFLA Nationals.

Q:  During the CUFLA competition who was your toughest player to play against?
A:  The toughest player I played against was Connor Ham #17 on Brock. He had such a quick release on his shot which made it extremely challenging to guard him.

Q:  As a lacrosse fan, who is your favourite player?
A:  Being a longpole, my favourite player growing up was Brodie Merrill.

Q:  Why did you choose Western University over a U.S. school?
A:  I chose to attend Western University over a U.S. school because Western’s lacrosse program established itself as the top program in Canada. Furthermore, Western’s Academics are very strong specifically its Business program. I think that many young players should not overlook Canadian university lacrosse programs because the level of lacrosse is very comparable to most U.S. Schools.

Q:  What does being named game MVP of the 2018 CUFLA gold medal game mean to you?
A:  I was extremely honored and thankful to be named the game MVP of the 2018 CUFLA gold medal game. This achievement came from many hours of hard work and preparation such as team workouts, practices or watching film.
