How can my non-profit benefit from a 50/50 raffle?
Because we are also a non-profit and receive many requests, we support those organizations that are not-for-profit, non-partisan, and non-denominational, and which focus on children.  If you meet those eligibility requirements, you will need to review our donations policy and fill out the donation request form   The Donations Coordinator will contact you by email to let you know whether you are eligible and whether there are games available.

Organizations hosting a 50/50 are responsible for providing the sellers and raffle tickets and supervision of their sellers.

How does my Little Leaguer participate in a Community Night or Boy/Girl Scout on Scout Night?
Any youth in uniform from the Community Night area will be admitted free that evening.  Others should buy a ticket in support of the Mountaineers, which is a non-profit organization.  The players will take the field with the Mountaineers for the national anthem and perhaps some of the between innings games on the field.  They should arrive at the park by 6:00 and meet near the first base gate.

How did Skip get his name?

The name Skip is a tribute to Russell "Skip" Smith who was involved in the early planning stages of the team as well as many other community organizations. He passed away before the team was accepted into the NECBL and we thought Skip the Woodchuck would be a way to keep Russell's fun loving personality alive at the ballpark.

How did the the Mountaineers decide on their team name?
Green Mountain Community Baseball held a contest in the fall of 2002 and Mountaineers was picked by the most fans. The second place vote was Woodchucks, so we decided to have a woodchuck as a mascot because it could be more fun and friendly-looking than a person dressed as a mountaineer!
