The Delta Youth Soccer Association enters District teams into a number of leagues.
The District board is responsible for scheduling U11-U14 House games (games solely within our District) and works with other District boards throughout the lower mainland to schedule Select, Gold and Silver games as well as 5 District Bronze and Red games.
The District also works with member Clubs to identify top players to compete in the BC Youth Soccer Select League.
For the U6 to U10 age groups, clubs typically run their own Small Sided Game formats. Please contact your local Club for further information. All Clubs are listed on the home page of the website.
U11-U14 House/Development Divisions: Teams in the U11-U14 House division play league games solely within the Delta District (Peace Arch, North Delta, Ladner, Tsawassen.) Players participating in these leagues are focused on fun and healthy recreation. At the U11 Level there are "Development" teams formed in preparation for U12 Gold/Silver competition.
U15-U18 Bronze/Red: The 5 District Gold and Silver League is comprised of Districts representing the Fraser Valley, Surrey, Alouette, Westminster and Delta. Players participating in these leagues are focused on fun and healthy recreation. Although this league has U14 and U13 categories, DYSA does not enter teams in these age brackets.
U12-U18 Gold & Silver: The 5 District Gold and Silver League is comprised of Districts representing the Fraser Valley, Surrey, Alouette, Westminster and Delta. Players participating in these leagues compete at a higher level of competition.
BC Youth Soccer Select League (BCYSSL): The BCYSSL operates the Select League for Divisions U14, U16 and U18. DYSA organizes the best players from District clubs and enters teams in the BCYSSL. Each division is comprised of an A and B division. This is a highly competative league.
EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League: EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League supports player development through increased competition for top soccer athletes. Eight founding franchises representing more than 80 per cent of the BC population were announced February 17, 2011. The first full season of competition began in March 2012, and featured divisions at the U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, and U-17/U-18 levels.
