Looking Back.... Dream Came True for Carson in 2018

June 17, 2019
12:53 PM EDT

The Lehigh Valley Baseball League supports local charities like Dream Come True as well as other meaningful causes.
In 2018 we fulfilled a Dream for Carson.

Carson is an 11 year old boy diagnosed with Ana-plastic Medulloblastoma when he was 7 years old.  He received chemotherapy and radiation therapy.  Medulloblastoma is a cancerous tumor that originates in the brain and can spread to the spine.  He is doing well but still has to take daily medication and injections.

Carson's father unexpectedly passed away a short time ago.  Carson was very close to his Dad and they did a lot together.

Carson loves the outdoors, four wheeling and hunting.  He enjoys watching sports especially hockey.  His favorite teams are the Flyers and Blackawks.  His favorite show is the Nickelodeon show Dude Perfect Show.

Carson's dream was to go to Great Wolf Lodge and take part in all that it offers with his family.
The Lehigh Valley Baseball League along with the Bethlehem Umpires Association, M&T Bank and Embassy Bank raised $2,500 for Dream Come True Foundation in honor of Carson. Great Wolf Lodge gifted Carson's Dream as well as providing limo service and accommodations for his entire family. Great Wolf Home Run!

The proceeds were donated to Carson in person during the League All-Star Game at Coca-Cola Park. He was truly surprised and very happy.

As word spread, more caring people stepped up to the plate and helped the league cause. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms sent a team representative to the All-Star Game and presented tickets to Carson. The tickets weren't just any tickets, they came along with a pass to join the team on the bench and they signed Carson to a contract, so now he is a Phantom!

We don't know how long Carson will be able to enjoy his life. We were able to play a little role in helping him fulfill his Dream with the support of really good people.

Thank you for all the support!
