Coquitlam Redlegs

Mission Statement

Reds Mission Statement

The Coquitlam Reds are among the longest continuing premier youth baseball programs in British Columbia. Our origin dates back to the early 1970’s, as a successor to the Coquitlam/Maillardville Athletics of the old Simon Fraser Connie Mack League. In 1994 the Reds organization added a younger development focused team, the Redlegs, which is primarily comprised of 15 and 16 year olds. The Junior Reds represent the future opportunity for the Reds to maintain their long standing tradition of premier level baseball development.

The Coquitlam Reds’ focus is primarily on player development and player promotion. Our year round program offers Fall Ball, Winter Training, Pre-Season Training, Regular and Post Season schedules, in addition to competitive destination tournaments throughout the United States.

As a responsible organization, with a thorough understanding of post-secondary recruiting models, we recognize the importance of academic achievement and support our players’ success, not only on the field, but in the classroom as well. As such, players are asked to submit report cards to their respective head coaches in order to keep track of academic progress and assist if needed or requested.

For years, the Coquitlam Reds have been a reputable and highly competitive program. We take pride in this legacy and through a successful, competitive culture, continue to develop and promote players and prepare them for their future.
