Craig Doremus

A native of Maspeth, NY, Craig has over 24 years of hockey experience.  Craig is a level 5 USA Hockey certified coach.  Before joining the Long Island Gulls hockey organization, Craig was the Head Coach of the Metro Moose Junior hockey team for five seasons after serving as an Assistant Coach for one season.  In Craig’s five seasons with the Moose, the team qualified for USA Hockey Nationals three times and captured two CHA league championships.  Craig’s prior coaching experience includes roles such as the Assistant Coach at Christ the King High School, as well as the Assistant Coach for the New York City Empire State team where he worked under current Connecticut Whale Assistant Coach, Pat Boller. Craig currently is a coach and scout for Hockey Essentials.  Prior to beginning his coaching career, Craig played at Christ the King where he served as team captain his junior and senior year.  A graduate of St. Johns University, Craig has also worked for the New York Rangers where he began in the marketing and youth hockey departments. 

Mike Bracco

Along with a playing career as a goaltender that includes Prep, Junior and College hockey, Michael has been coaching hockey for thirteen years.  Within that time, his list of accomplishments includes six Regional Silver Stick Championships, three International Silver Stick Championships, a Bell Cup Championship in 2008, and becoming a 3-Time New York State Champion.  Michael has also guided and placed numerous hockey players in the NTDP, USHL and Prep School programs.  Michael has coaching experience with the ’96-97, ’03, and ’06-07 Long Island Gulls teams.  Prior to coaching, Michael played for the Division I hockey program at Dartmouth College and was selected for the ECAC All-Rookie Team in 1990-1991, and is also ranked third all-time in saves in the school’s history.  His successful collegiate career was jumpstarted by his Junior A Hockey experience with the Notre Dame Hounds of the SJHL and the Brockville Braves of the CJHL, along with his time spent at the AVON Old Farms Prep School.
