2023 Ocean State Waves Summer Games July 25th-July 28th
The Waves are proud to announce our sixth annual summer baseball tournament! The Waves are a New England Collegiate Baseball League Franchise located in South County, RI. The NECBL is commonly referred to as the second best summer collegiate league in the entire country with 300 Alumni that have played Major League Baseball. Every summer, the best college players from across the country come to play in the NECBL to play in front of MLB Scouts and 38% of those players will get a chance to play professional baseball. The Waves have proudly had 60 plus players drafted by MLB clubs during our 5 year existence.
Waves' President/General Manager and Bryant University Ast. Coach, Eric Hirchbein-Bodnar will direct our tournament. Hirschbein-Bodnar will be assisted by Wave's Directors of Baseball Operations Joseph Mello, Tim Joyce, as well as Waves Ast. and Roger Williams Coach Matt Rienzi. It will be our goal to provide the best possible experience for all team directors, coaches, players and parents. We intend to do this through using top collegiate level facilities, college level umpiring and professional customer service. Rob Healey will assign and direct all umpiring. Our tournament registration fee is $2,300 and includes four pool play games, plus playoffs for pool winners. We will guarantee a minimum of 30 collegiate coaches in attendance for this year's event. Please see link below to register today!
Last year we enjoyed tremendous success with our tournament and we are only looking to continue to provide the best experience for teams, players, coaches and families as they come from near and far to compete in front of numerous college coaches and professional scouts!
In 2023, we pride in providing top-notch facilities for players to compete on. This year’s facilities include Salve Regina University (Newport, RI), University of Rhode Island, and Old Mountain Field (Home of the Ocean State Waves)! We are also proud to use the baseball facilities at Brown University, Rhode Island College, and Bryant University! We are looking forward to another successful weekend and we look forward to seeing you here! (*Fields Subject to Change*). IF this years Tournament is impacted by COVID-19 We will adjust accordingly with field changes and live streamed games if coaches cannot attend.
