
Rochester College participates as a member of Division 1 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The ACHA was established in 1991 and has grown from the original 15 member institutions to now a collegiate hockey organization with over 450 members participating across three divisions of men’s hockey and two divisions of women’s hockey. Rochester College participates in Division 1 of the ACHA, with 56 other institutions across the United States.
The ACHA, as an organization, is a member of USA Hockey and the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA). The league hosts a 20 team National Tournament, an All-Star game, and comprises the roster for the United States participation in the World University Games. Several players from the ACHA have gone on to play hockey professionally all across the globe.
The ACHA presents players with a great opportunity to play highly competitive hockey while pursuing an education. The league continues to promote hockey and education through our student athletes all across the United States.
