Nicholas Medvitz, General Manager

Introducing Nicholas Medvitz! Medvitz is in his third year at Ohio University studying sports management and business analytics. Medvitz is continuing his Copperhead’s career this year by serving as a general manager. Medvitz spoke about his excitement for the season saying “Reconnecting with [the] Athens community and people that I met last year”. Outside of his commitment to the Cheads, Medvitz is involved in the Ohio Athletics’s marketing department and Sigma Alpha Sigma Mu, which is a professional sports management fraternity on campus. Kali Osborne, General Manager

Introducing Kali Osborne! Osborne is a junior at Ohio University pursuing a major in sports management, minors in marketing and business administration, and a certificate in festivals, entertainment, and event management. Outside of her busy class schedule, Osborne is involved with Sigma Alpha Sigma Mu as the VP of Communications and she is a marketing associate for OU athletics. Welcome, and good luck Kali!

Joe Molina, Director of Ticket Sales

Introducing Joe Molina! Molina is a junior at Ohio University currently studying sports management. Having always been a sports fan, Molina said his favorite sports team is the “Cleveland Guardians- They were always on TV at my house when I was young and I have now watched every season since 2012!”. Molina also spoke about his excitement for the season saying “I am excited to help make an impact in the community and even more excited to see Bob Wren Stadium packed with Cheads fans!”. Apart from being a dedicated baseball fan, he is involved in Sigma Alpha Sigma Mu, which is a professional sports management fraternity on campus. Welcome, and good luck Joe!

Styron Lebbie, Director of Group Ticket Sales

Introducing Styron Lebbie! Lebbie is a junior sports management major and marketing minor. Although Lebbie is from Columbus, he said that his favorite sports team is the “Cleveland Cavaliers, [because I] grew up watching the Cavs, I would say it’s more family inheritance.”. Outside of being a full time Cavs fan, Lebbie is involved with the Association of Multicultural Sports Professionals. Welcome, and good luck Styron!

Dylan Burke, Director of Sponsorships

Introducing Dylan Burke! Burke is a junior majoring in sports management and marketing with a minor in coaching education. This year Burke is serving as our director of sponsorships and spoke about his excitement for the season saying “[I’m excited for] working with the community and local business owners!”. Mason Hopkins, Director of Entertainment and Sponsorship Activation

Introducing Mason Hopkins! Hopkins is a sophomore sports management and business analytics major at Ohio University. Hopkins spoke about his excitement saying he’s excited to “ Give the community a special place to come and enjoy a reasonably priced baseball game, [and] learning and growing with all of the directors as the season goes on”. Caroline Merritt, Director of Media Relations

Introducing Caroline Merritt! Merritt is a junior studying business marketing, communications, and real estate at Ohio University. This year she has taken on the role of director of media relations hoping to learn skills to help her achieve her dream job of “becoming the head of marketing for a professional sports team like the Cleveland Browns!”. Apart from the Cheads, Merritt is on the club rugby team and is involved in a business fraternity. Welcome, and good luck Caroline!

Derrick Welsh, Director of Community Outreach

Introducing Derrick Welsh! Welsh is a junior sports management and marketing student at Ohio University. Welsh grew up in Athens so it's only fitting that this year he is serving as our director of community outreach! “I am excited to engage with the community and make a lasting impact on kids in the Athens County area,” said Welsh when speaking about his excitement for the season. Logan Finley, Director of Marketing

Introducing Logan Finley! Finley is a junior pursuing a degree in marketing and analytics, and a minor in sports management. Having always been a sports fan, Finley said his favorite team is the “Pittsburgh Pirates, [the] first game I went to, close to home, always been a fan”. Outside of his love for sports, Finley is committed to the Ohio Sports Analytics Team. Welcome, and good luck Logan!

Grace Thompson Oswalt, Director of Social Media

Introducing Grace Thompson Oswalt! Oswalt is a junior studying sports management and marketing at Ohio University. This year she is serving as our director of social media which aligns with her dream job of “Working in social media for a professional sports organization”. Thatcher Smith, Director of Stadium Operations

Introducing Thatcher Smith! Smith is a sophomore sports management and coaching student at Marietta College. Speaking on this upcoming season Smith said “I’m most excited to be able to create such a great environment for my local area,”. Devin Nelson, Director of Player Operations

Introducing Devin Nelson! Nelson is serving as our director of player operations this season! Nelson is a senior sports management major who is also pursuing a certificate in event management. Being from Cincinnati Nelson said that his dream job would be “A general manager for one of the major teams/events in Cincinnati”. Apart from working for the Cheads Nelson is also a part of Kappa Alpha Zeta, a professional fraternity for communications. Welcome, and good luck Devin!

Joshua Jacob, Director of Broadcast

Introducing Joshua Jacob! Jacob is a freshman studying journalism news information at Ohio University. Jacob wants to use his director position to ”uplift the players as the new voice of the Copperheads and help the community.” said Jacob. Outside of the Cheads Jacob's is heavily involved in WOUB, producing many shows such as Gridiron Glory, Newswatch, and Hardwood Heroes. Welcome, and good luck Josh!

Julia Becker, Director of Business Analytics

Introducing Julia Becker! Becker is a junior at Ohio University pursuing a double degree in business analytics and sports management. This year she is serving as our director of business analytics, Becker spoke about what she is most excited about this season saying “I’m excited to grow in my role as the director of business analytics and learn new analytical techniques and strategies”.
