Payment Information

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Season

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • We have an online registration and payment system. We no longer accept personal checks, however we do still accept company, sponsor or team checks - please call Lisa at 888-456-3745 for more info.
  • All fees and due dates are firm - no exceptions.   While we have set dates for all payments, the league reserves the right to require some teams and players with prior payment problems or those who we feel may present a risk, to meet more stringent payment dates,  and we may even require some teams or players to pay in full before their season starts. This is entirely at our discretion.
     

TEAM CAPTAIN & TEAM PLAYER PAYMENT INFORMATION

  • TEAM CAPTAINS are ultimately responsible for the full payment of their team's fee.  When your register the team online, you will be given 3 payment options - we strongly suggest you choose one of the first two.  We urge you get your players to pay you/us up front, or as soon as possible, to avoid any issues later.  The online system for registration accepts mc/visa/amex only - you must use one of these cards to register your team. After you've paid the $200 deposit to register the team, if you want to use Discover or a company check for the rest, just call us with that info.
  •  
    •  You can choose to pay the full amount yourself, at registration, or after, and if this is done by Sept. 15, 2015  there is a $400 discount for the spring/summer season in all leagues, except for FML, BU and Hingham. This is the BEST OPTION - it saves your team $400 and you can just concentrate on the hockey!
    • The 2nd option is the Captain's Installment Pay...this will put $200 on your card immediately when your register, and then automatically charge that same card for the remainder of the team fee in 5 equal installments on the 1st of the month in Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb.  This is a great option as it allows you to spread the balance out over 5 months and just collect as you need from your players. If you want to do this, you should select the Captain's installment plan option when registering, and be sure that your card does not expire before Feb. 1, 2016.   If you don't select it at registration, you can still sign up for this to be done manually - just contact lisa@neshl.com for details after you register with the $200 deposit.
    • The 3rd option is to pay only the $200 deposit at registration, and  then to make the rest of the team payments as follows: An additional $3000 is due by Oct. 1st , then another $2000 additional by Dec. 1st, and the balance by Feb. 1st. You can do this by either collecting cash from your players and paying online yourself, or by assigning them amounts online to pay.  This is the most challenging method - for you and for us - as it requires you to check regularly to see who has registered, then assign them amounts, and then there is constant follow-up on players.  That first payment is large and it is early...we will not schedule teams beyond late October who are not current with that Oct. 1st payment. You as captain are entirely responsible for the team as an entity meeting the payment deadlines - in full and on time. Remember, if even one player does not do his/her share on time, discounts can be lost, and individual and team suspensions and forfeits may be issued, and some teams may find their seasons cut short if they fall behind.
  • TEAM PLAYERS are responsible for registering online and then paying the full amount their team captain assigns them, by the dates requested.  If your captain assigns you an amount to pay online, you should do so right away and in full; players who don't pay on time may be suspended or dropped entirely.  You can also pay by calling the league with your card information, but remember we do not accept personal checks. 

 DRAFT & CLINIC

  • Draftees: All adults hoping to be drafted onto a team, including goalies, must register online for our draft.  You will be given the option to make your payment at that time (mc/visa/amex) or to defer your payment until Oct. 1st.  Any draftee not paid by that date will be withdrawn.  If you choose to be drafted onto two or more teams you will owe the draft fee for each team.  Regardless of when your league's draft night is, or when your chosen league starts, or even if you are still awaiting placement on a team, all draft payments must be made in full by Oct. 1, 2015.  Your payment to the league will then be transferred to the team that drafts you. 
  • Clinic: Clinic participants must register for the clinic online and will be given the option to make their payment upon registration, or to defer full payment until Oct. 15th. Any registrant who is not paid in full by that date will be dropped and your spot will be given to another. 

REFUNDS

  • If you are a captain who registers a team and then decides to drop out, we will issue refunds to you and any players on your team who paid in full if you notifiy us at least 2 weeks before your league's season starts.  If you drop after that date, we may offer a partial refund depending on the circumstances and the timing - entirely at our discretion. 
  • Any team player who drops from a team  will need to work out his refund with his/her team captain - we will not get involved in that. 
  • Draftees who are not placed will be given full refunds, and draftees who drop out after being placed, or who are dropped by their team, may be issued partial refunds at the discretion of the league, depending on the timing and circumstances. 
  • All clinic players who drop before the first session will be given a full refund, any clinic participant who drops after the first session may be offered a partial refund, depending on the timing and circumstances, entirely at the league's discretion. 
  • All refunds are at the discretion of the league, and we reserve the right to change these policies as needed.
