Rules & Waivers

League Rules & Regulations

All team captains, players, league workers and fans, should read and be aware of all league rules, as well as the language contained in the waivers.  The league reserves the right to alter or change the rules without notice should we feel there is a need to do so.  It is entirely your responsibility to become familiar with our rules and policies, as well as the rules of the various rinks you play in, and the towns they are located in - and to abide by all rules.  If you have any questions about league rules, please call Paul at 888-456-3745 or email him at info@neshl.com.  If you have questions about various rinks's rules, please check with them directly.

League Waivers

It is understood by all who participate in any league games or events that they do so at their own risk and the league assumes no repsonsibility for injuries or deaths that may occur.  Any person who participates in our league, or who is present at a league event, for whatever the reason, does so entirely at their own risk.

The New England Senior Hockey League, Inc. requries all regular season, draft and clinic players to register online for the league, for each new season, and each individual team/clinic.  Hockey is a dangerous sport and serious injuries and even death, can and do occur.  All persons who participate in any league games or events are expected to read and be aware of the league waivers and all registrants must agree to the electronic waiver when registering.  Team Captains who use unregistered substitute players, including goalies, are expected to make sure that those players know our league rules and are aware of the player waivers.  Team captains must act as our agent in this respect, and as such, they and the unregistered players acknowledge that by participating in league events that they are agreeing to the waiver 'de-facto' , and thus waiving all rights with respect to damages related to injuries or death.

We are an adult-only league and all players must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the league's regular seasons, clinics and tournaments.  By registering online and/or by participating in any league-sponsored event, you are stating that you are, in fact, at least 18 years of age and capable of agreeing to the waiver as an adult.  Any captain who knowingly allows an underage player to participate may face sanctions by the league.

Participation in, or being present at, any league game or event acknowledges that you have read and agree to the league waivers.  A copy of both the Regular Team Captain's waiver and the Individual player (team player, clinic or draftee) waiver and the Tournament Captains' waiver, all may be accessed by clicking on the links below.
