Matt Stembridge, General Manager

Matt joins the Hannibal Hoots after spending the previous 10 years coaching at the collegiate level. From 2008-2012 he was an assistant coach at John Wood Community College. During his time at JWCC, the team was ranked nationally on several occasions, with the highest national ranking of 6th in 2011. From 2013-2017 he was an assistant coach at Quincy University. In his last year at QU, the Hawks won a conference and regional title for the first time in program history, qualifying for the College World Series.

Stembridge brings a wealth of experience and valuable relationships in the baseball community. He is certified in Sports Performance through the NSCA, USAW and AFAA. Matt has spent the previous 10 years as an instructor at both JWCC and QU in their Exercise Science programs. 

A graduate of Capital University in Columbus, OH. He received his MED in Sports Administration from William Woods University in 2007.

Matt is married to Melissa, a FNP at Quincy Medial Group. They have three children, Maddux (4) and Hudson (2) and new to the lineup in 2018, a daughter Brielle.

Blane Mundle, Assistant General Manager

Blane Mundle is a lifelong resident of Hannibal. He served his community as a teacher, coach, activities director, assistant principal, and principal for 25 years in the Hannibal Public Schools.

Blane received his Bachelors degree from Culver-Stockton College, his Masters from the University of Missouri, and a Specialist in Educational Leadership from William Woods University.

Blane has been involved with baseball as a player and coach from the youth level to college. He brings a unique perspective to the Hoots organization. Playing and coaching at Clemons Field he understands the great history Hannibal has in baseball. He is looking forward to working with the great baseball fans in Hannibal to make the Hoots a big part of the Hannibal community.

Gary Allen, Assistant General Manager

Gary is a Liberty, Kansas native who has resided in Mexico, Missouri for the past 24 years. Has also resided in various places: Kansas City, Missouri; Springfield, Missouri.; Indianapolis, Indiana.; Sunrise, Florida.

Married to Lorraine, and has 4 sons, 1 daughter, and 11 grandchildren.

USAF Veteran. Has over 40 years of Technical and Management experience in various diverse industries: Cable TV;  Consumer Finance; Laboratory Equipment; Banking Equipment. 

Coaching experience in Baseball – (Little League/American Legion); Youth Football; Youth Basketball; Adult Softball. Gary managed the Mexico American Legion Program from 1997-2003, responsible for the administration of both the Junior and Senior Legion programs.

Chelsea Grady, Summer Intern

Chelsea is joining the Hoots this summer as in intern from Ball State University. She is from the  small town of Redkey Indiana. Chelsea received her Bachelors degree in Graphic Arts and Business at Ball State and is currently finishing her Masters in Sports Administration.

From playing, to being an umpire, to fulfilling the role of coach, and now as an intern with the Hoots, Chelsea has been around the sports world all her life. She looks forward to the opportunity of getting to know the Hannibal community, growing and learning in this new environment, and helping to make this season the best one yet.

 

Brett Peters, Marketing & Promotions

Brett Peters is a recent graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Mass Media: Broadcast Production. At Northwest he produced three NCAA Regional Basketball Tournaments and eight NCAA Football Playoff Games. 

Brett has previous experience in the collegiate wood bat world working as a video production and social media intern with the St. Joseph Mustangs. 

Brett is a lifelong baseball fan from New London Missouri. He is excited to help baseball grow in Hannibal and Northeast Missouri.

Brendan Saak, Operations & Facilities

Brendan Saak is returning to the Hoots organization after playing for the team last summer. He was a mainstay in the Hannibal bullpen in 2018 with 43.1 innings pitched, 40 strikeouts, and a 2.70 ERA. 

Brendan received his bachelor's degree in sport management from Quincy University this past spring and is currently pursuing his Master's in Business Administration.
 
He also has a knowledgeable background in sports as he played both baseball and football for Quincy University from 2014-2018. Along with that playing experience, Brendan has been involved with QU's athletic department as a graduate assistant for sports information. 
 
He also has experience scouting high school talent as a scout for Prospect Select, a baseball recruiting service based in Florida.

Adam Wienhoff, Summer Intern

Adam was born and raised in Quincy, IL and has always had an interest and love for the sport of baseball. 

Adam joins the staff as an intern this summer, after completing his senior year of college. Adam graduated from John Wood Community College in 2016 before transferring to Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. After his internship this year, he will receive his Bachelors degree in Sport Management.
