2018 Annual Meeting ACTION ITEMS FOR ALL MANAGERS:
- Go over the 2018 Rules and Report any issues. The rules are FINAL ON 28 FEB if no issues are reported!!
- Team Rosters are due to Bud using the MSBL Excel format in google drive. This information will be uploaded in Pointstreak by game 1. Anyone not on this roster, will be considered ineligible to play. Managers must keep rosters current
- Review your schedule when released, weather calls will have a BIG IMPACT on the schedule due to NOT PLAYING holidays. Decisions to play on any holiday is determined by both teams impacted. Any regular season game that enters the 5th inning is considered as a full game.
- Rescheduled games will be agreed upon by both teams. If an agreement cannot be made, the game will be considered as a no contest.
- Team Payment is due BEFORE the first game of the season, failure to pay will result in becoming ineligible to continue to play (forfeiting each following game).
- Payments can be sent via paypal to socomsbl@gmail.com via friends and family to prevent a service charge.
- Payments can be made to any of the Executive committee members
2019 Meeting Notes:
- Team Fees: Addressed in the treasurer report with insurance requirement. Managers are required to pay the scheduling fee of $200 on draft day or will not participate in the draft and not be scheduled to play. The remaining balance is due by the first game. Each VP will assist in collecting the fees from each team. Failure to pay the team fee in full will result in forfeiture of games and possible removal from the league.
- Rules Amendment Suggestions: The MSBL-AA Legends will operate under the base rules as the remainder of the league. The MSBL-AA Classics will operate under the MSBL-AA rules from last year. For the 2019 season, up to 3 players would be allowed on each team between the ages of 45-47, in order to help fill rosters. Players who are younger than 48 will not be allowed to pitch.
- Managers wanting to chair rule changes will need to present them for a review and vote during the rules meeting in February. Rules will be final on DRAFT DAY.

- League Website: www.msbl-soco.org Managers will have access to report scores or can report scores to the secretary for uploading. We have a league stats program with Pointstreak to use with IPAD and Laptop scoring and to broadcast games over the internet. The league will provide scorebooks for each team as a part of the MSBL support package.
- ROSTERS/STATS: Team rosters will be carried over from last year in pointstreak. Managers must update rosters and submit waivers using the google drive link. NOT MORE THAN 3 players from the MABL may be permitted to play on a MSBL roster. Pointstreak website tutorial slides are located on the google drive.
- Emphasis is required with scorebook keeping. All home teams are required to keep the official book and if not able to then the visitor team will keep the official book. Scorebooks have been distributed to each team no later than draft day. Each team is encouraged to keep accurate information and report scores to the league president upon completion or note on the league website.
- Schedule: The goal of the league is to have each division to play a division schedule of 14 games. A draft schedule completed. El Pomar use will continue and seek approval for 2 fields. Woodland Park Field is available for scheduling on the youth tournament weekends May 5, and May 19. We need to seek some additional HS fields for MABL play to prevent gaps in the schedule on these weekends

- Reviewed MSBL National Agreement: This Franchise Agreement obligates the MSBL of Southern Colorado to MSBL/MABL affiliation for the term (described below) and in return, the MSBL/MABL National organization pledges the following discounts and additional benefits to you, your Board, team managers and members.
- All national fees to be paid in a timely manner. (No more than 60 days after the start of the each season)
- All team rosters, including email addresses must be submitted to the national office in a timely manner. These lists will not be sold. They will be used for MSBL communication purposes only!
- Prepare a full list of team Managers and email addresses to be submitted to the national office prior to the start of every season.
- A link to the national MSBL Website (www.msblnational.com) must be included on the local league homepage.
- The local league will post various announcements, national benefits (Liberty Mutual, etc) and national tournament information from the MSBL national office on the local league homepage, as requested.
