The Valley Blue Sox are currently seeking enthusiastic internship candidates for the 2026 season! The Blue Sox are a member of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, a collegiate summer league certified by Major League Baseball and the NCAA. The Blue Sox play their home games at Historic Mackenzie Stadium in Holyoke, MA and travel to all corners of New England during the season.
The Blue Sox are looking for current undergraduate, graduate students, and graduating high school students majoring in or looking for a career in sport management, data analytics, sales and marketing, social media marketing, journalism, broadcasting, graphic design, food service and hospitality management, accounting, photography,and many more. If you are a successful candidate, you will get the opportunity to gain hands on training and practical experience in your field and others. We offer multiple internship positions listed below.

- Broadcast Internship
- Join our broadcast team and call the game day action live on our ESPN+ televised broadcast

Become the in-house voice of the Blue Sox

Write about, publish, and promote Blue Sox events and players over multiple platforms and conduct game day interviews

Produce our game day televised broadcasts utilizing state of the art equipment and software

- Baseball Analytics
- Create, maintain, and analyze player and game data using using our state of the art TrackMan and Synergy systems. Produce data analysis and scouting reports for players, coaches, scouts, and agents
- Social Media and Marketing
- Maintain the teams social media accounts. Work with local media outlets to promote team events
- Sales and Marketing/Game Day Operations
- Generate and maintain sponsorships, develop game day promotions, create advertisments, and promote the Blue Sox through various media outlets
- Photographer/Videographer
- Take photos and videos throughout the season of all Blue Sox games and community events. Design and create social media content and promotional material
- Graphic Design
- Create visual concepts and graphics utilizing software or by hand for our game day broadcasts, print materials, website design, social media channels, marketing campaigns, and more

What does this mean to a potential intern? It means that Blue Sox management understands what skills and experience that are needed to succeed in this business. You will be challenged with a variety of responsibilities designed not only to ensure the success of the Blue Sox in 2026, but also to impress hiring officials with teams, leagues and organizations in the future. Even if you're not necessarily looking to pursue a career in the sports industry our interns successfully transition into other careers in their related fields. It also assures you, upon successful completion of your internship, with experienced mentors who can assist you with the advancement of your career.
This will not be your typical internship. The Blue Sox organization is committed to making our interns an integral and equal part of our operation. Considering our small staff, you will be relied upon to provide insight and to make decisions regarding all aspects of the operation. Your opinion will be solicited and your ideas will be welcomed. You will oversee a special area of responsibility that will permit you some autonomy in its operation, with guidance and support from the General Manager and Team President.
During the time you are an intern with the Valley Blue Sox you will experience first-hand all aspects of the operation of a baseball team. The practices of our organization closely resemble those of all minor league teams, and, on a smaller scale, most major league and intercollegiate sports organizations. The skills you will acquire will be easily transferable to any sports field in which you desire to work. At the end of your experience, you may feel that you worked harder in those few months than at any other time in your life. However, you will be rewarded with significant practical experience, the positive sensation of a successfully completed season and new friendships among your fellow staff members, ballpark employees and fans that will stay with you and be very beneficial to your future success.
