Tyler Descheneaux, Advisor

Tyler Descheneaux remains on board as an advisor to the Blue Sox organization after moving on and accepting a position with the Boston Red Sox. After interning with the team during the 2021 season Tyler was hired as the General Manager where he excelled for two seasons. Descheneaux is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts- Amherst where he earned his B.S. in Sport Management from the Isenberg School of Management and a B.S. in Sociology from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

As an undergraduate student, he worked with the UMass Campus Recreation program as a soccer and basketball official, which led to an Intramural Sports Supervisor and his senior year spent as a Program Assistant. Throughout his time at UMass Amherst, Descheneaux held two internships with the Lowell Spinners as a Game-Day Operations staff member and with the Valley Blue Sox as a Sales and Marketing intern.

Residing from Lowell, MA, Descheneaux first gained sports management experience from working with the Red Sox Single-A affiliate, the Lowell Spinners, and volunteering his time in his local little league, the Pawtucketville Youth Organization, and a non-profit organization, S.T.E.P. Program, where he mentored individuals with physical and mental abilities in playing various sports. 

In his GM role, Descheneaux was responsible for a wide range of the team’s business affairs, including creating and maintaining sponsorships, managing league responsibilities, and cultivating community relations.
