VALLEY'S BAK, SHAW NAMED TO PLAYER/PITCHER OF WEEK HONOR ROLL

Blue Sox OF Tyler Bak and P Gregory Shaw have earned recognition on the NECBL's Week 1 Player and Pitcher of the Week Honors.
Bak was listed in the Honor Roll section for position players, while Shaw was mentioned in the pitchers' section.
Both players are two of only 10 to be included in the inaugural league honors.
Bak impressed at the plate, batting .750 in 12 at bats. He's also added a home run and 12 runs batted in.
Shaw, an NECBL All-Star a season prior, returned to his dominance on the mound. In his opening-night start, he threw five innings and struck out six batters against the defending two-peat champion Newport Gulls. Shaw also didn't allow a run in his start.
The Blue Sox will look to expand on these stellar performances tonight against the Ocean State Waves at 6:30 p.m.
