About our broadcast team:
Austin is a rising junior at Syracuse University majoring in Broadcast and Digitial Journalism. He is a member of WAER Sports Staff, Z89 Sports Staff, and is an on-air talent at CitrusTV. Besides media responsibilities, Austin enjoys working out, playing basketball, and kicking back with his friends. He is looking forward to broadcasting with Jesse for the Matsu Miners and making life-long memories in Alaska.
Jesse is a rising senior at Syracuse University in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a native to Sharon, M.A. At S.U., he's worked with WAER, Z89, CitrusTV, the S.U. Hockey Network, and the S.U. Baseball Network in on-air and production capabilities. Last summer, he called play-by-play for Cropdusters Baseball in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League. He spent his winter calling play-by-play for the Utica Jr. Comets in the United States Premier Hockey League. Jesse spends his free time playing different sports, making graphic design, and reading. He can't wait to work with his friend Austin in the gorgeous Mat-Su Valley and make memories to last a lifetime in Alaska.
