Boomer's Bookworms Literacy Program

To foster a love of reading by developing a literacy program rooted in baseball and to strengthen such skills, encouraging the youth in the Sanford-Springvale community to gain the confidence they need to positively engage with the world around them.

• Record your reading progress and make your way around the bases to earn free admission (two tickets) to one of the following Sanford Mainers official Boomer's Bookworms Nights
  • Monday - June 23, 2025 - 6:30pm
  • Sunday - July 13, 2025 - 4:30pm
• Shade in the arrows for each 15 minutes of reading to make your way to each base
• Students participating through their school can turn their finished reading log into their classroom teachers 
• Homeschool or nontraditional students can register online and should download the grade appropriate passport books from the links below. Once completed, please send completed reading logs to the Sanford Mainers's office. Don't forget to include your name and grade.
• Take another passport booklet with you and get back to reading for a chance to win an additional two tickets to one of the above listed nights! You could take your whole family!
• Boomer's Bookworms 2025 program will conclude on April 1st. Please make sure all completed forms are submitted to your child's teacher or postmarked to the Sanford Mainers front office by this date.

If your child has completed his or her passbook and has submitted it to their teacher or have mailed it in to the Sanford Mainers front office, you can download and print a new copy of the passbook below to be submitted by April 1st.
