SCORESHEET ROSTERS
The proper use of the stickers continues to improve, and the primary obstacle seems that many teams have not referenced the samples and instructions provided via these newsletters.  Please be sure your Team Managers have received and reviewed the links below prior to the team's next game.  The most-common issues at this time are: "scratched" players crossed out with a messy line or a line that does not cross out all typed information (hard to tell who exactly is crossed out), jersey number changes covering the assigned number (original number is needed to find the right player in PointStreak), and players being crossed out with lines too thick to read the player's name (essential to see the name to set the correct game roster in PointStreak and vital to read the name for Game Verification by the manager at the end-of-season book checks).

JV & MS POINTSTREAK SCORING
As of Friday morning, the box scores and statistics will be reopened for the Junior Varsity and Middle School levels.  It is important for all interest parties to understand that there is an expected rate of inaccuracy in this scoring system and that there is a defined procedure for making legitimate scoring corrections.  If you have not already distributed the information on that process to your members, please do so using the link below.  The statistics for those levels will be turned off again if this process is not followed.  It is our desire to keep the statistics open for the remainder of the season, and achieving that goal will require cooperation from all teams.

PIHL SOCIAL MEDIA
Our social media management vendor has been attending games to take pictures, post stories, and record interviews with players and coaches.  Through this activity, they have found that many of our players and parents are unaware of our social media accounts.  Please be sure your members get this information, as our social media presence has greatly increased this season and assists us greatly in promoting our league to prospective players, potential sponsors, and localnews/media outlets.

SPONSORSHIPS
The PIHL is actively seeking sponsors from local, regional, and national businesses.  Sponsorships are a great way to help control our costs and improve our league.  We have a full range of sponsorship packages available.  If your company, your employer, or a business you know of is interested in becoming a PIHL sponsor, please call Ten Four Social at 724-916-4514.

VIDEO/PHOTOGRAPHY
Please be aware that any person who is not a Team Official (appearing on team's USA Hockey roster) cannot be taking pictures or video of any game from the bench area, including the penalty box and also applying to professional photographers.  This is a USA Hockey directive and very much related to the SafeSport initiative.  The PA clearance requirements make this matter even more important within our league.  If a Team Official is being used to take pictures/video, there is still a limit of 4 Team Officials on the bench and such recordings cannot be used in any way to dispute the rulings of the on-ice officials.

NOVEMBER BOG MEETING
The November Board of Governors Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at the Comfort Inn & Suites in the Allegheny Valley RIDC Park.  This meeting will also be available for online viewing, and information to connect to the online meeting will be sent prior to the meeting.
