2016 NHL RATED / DRAFTED

There were 28 Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) players and alumni were selected in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo, NY.  Led by 2016 CJHL MVP, Top Forward and Top Prospect Tyson Jost (BCHL), who was the first CJHL player selected in the draft in the 1st round, 10th overall by the Colarado Avalanche.

NHL Central Scouting released their Midterm Rankings for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.  Fifteen current Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) players, including two goaltenders and thirteen skaters, were listed among the top North American skaters and goaltenders. 

The highest rated CJHL skater is Tyson Jost of the Penticton Vees (BCHL) ranked 15th overall followed closely by teammate Dante Fabbro at 18th and Dennis Cholowski of Chilliwack Chiefs (BCHL) at number 48.
