The CJHL Prospects Game is one of the premier Junior A hockey events in the country and provide tremendous exposure for CJHL Players to play in front of scouts from all over the hockey world – including the NHL, NCAA, Major Junior and Canadian universities and colleges.
The rosters for the CJHL Prospects Game are chosen in partnership with NHL Central Scouting and are made up of players recommended by NHL Central Scouting. The Prospects Teams are coached by two experienced and successful CJHL coaches.
The President's Cup is awarded to the winning team at the CJHL Prospects Game. Team East (CCHL, MHL, NOJHL, OJHL, and QJHL players) and Team West (AJHL, BCHL, MJHL, SJHL, and SIJHL players) playoff in an annual event for the President's Cup at a predetermined host city in front of scores of fans and scouts.
From 2005 until 2008, the event ran as a single game, but starting in 2009 the President's Cup was played as a two game series where the combined score of the games determined the winner of the event. This past year the event has gone back to a single game and player testing both on-ice and off-ice was introduced.
Since its inception, Team West has won six times while Team East has has come away victorious on five occasions.

2010-11 Team East defeated Team West 9-2 (2-1 SO, 7-1) in Dauphin, Man.
2011-12 Team West defeated Team East 9-6 (4-3 OT, 5-3) in Langley, B.C.
2012-13 Team West defeated Team East 8-6 (5-0, 3-6) in Digby and Yarmouth, N.S.
2013-14 Team East defeated Team West 8-4 (4-2, 4-2) in Digby and Yarmouth, N.S.
2014-15 Team West defeated Team East 3-2 in Oakville, Ont.
2015-16 Team East defeated Team West 3-1 in Surrey, B.C.
2016-17 Team West defeated Team East 4-3 in Cornwall, Ont.
