Post-Season
The GLSCL postseason will consist of a divisional play-off series and a championship series. The top two seeds in each division will advance to the playoffs. Both are best of three series. The divisional series winners play each other in the championship series.
GLSCL Seeding Criteria for Post-Season Play
- Regular Season winning percentage (ties are 0.5 win and 0.5 loss)
- Head-to-Head competition
- Best record against all playoff teams
- Record versus remainder of conference opponents (based on winning percentage) in descending order, starting with the number one seed.
- Runs produced vs Runs allowed ratio
- Coin flip
PLAY-OFF SERIES: (Best of 3 Series)- In 2025, due to travel concerns, we have two possible scenarios in the North Division.
North Division Play-off Scenarios
If the Lima Locos play the Michigan Monarchs, Lima will host game 1 (Mon 7/28 @ 7:05 pm) & game 3 (TBA if needed). The Monarchs will host game 2 (probably on Tue, 7/29 @ 7:05 pm). This scenario (Locos vs Monarchs) does not have a travel date built in.
South Division Play-off Scenario
The Xenia Scouts will play the Hamilton Joes. The Scouts will host game 1 (Mon 7/28 @ 7:05 pm) & game 3 (TBA if needed). The Joes will host game 2 (TBA). This series may have an off day if the other division uses a travel day.
CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: (Best of 3 Series)- Highest seed will host games 2 & 3. Lowest seed will host game 1. If the travel is greater than 240 miles, there will be a travel day between games 1 & 2 unless both teams agree to eliminate it.
