Steam's Tommy Thamann wins GLSCL Player of the Week
GLSCL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 2

TOMMMY THAMANN - CINCINNATI STEAM - TIFFIN UNIVERSITY
Tommy Thamann batted for a .571 batting average (12-for-21) with a .640 on base percentage during the week. His 12 hits over the course include two doubles and one triple. Thamann drove in six RBIs scoring eight runs and stole six bases.
The Cincinnati native is in his first season with the Steam coming to them from Tiffin University. The Elder High School graduate played in 38 games for the Dragons hitting .253 with one home run and 15 RBIs. As a freshman in 2021, Thamann hit .330 for Tiffin with two homers 19 RBIs and seven doubles.
Thamann has helped lead the Steam to a 7-4 record tied atop of the South Division with the Hamilton Joes. He leads the GLSCL with a .481 batting average and a .588 on base percentage.

NICHOLAS WIMMERS - HAMILTON JOES - NEBRASKA
Wimmers hit for a .615 batting average (8-for-13) driving in three RBIs and scoring five runs. He leads the Joes in hitting with a .391 batting average.
CLAY JACOBS - LIMA LOCOS - EDISON STATE CC
Jacobs hit .500 (7-for-14) for the week with a .638 on base percentage with five RBIs and four runs scored. He has helped lead the Locos to first place atop of the GLSCL North Division.
TYLER NELSON - MICHIGAN MONARCHS - INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY
Nelson hit for a .391 batting average (9-for-23) driving in 10 RBIs with two doubles and two stolen bases. Nelson leads the GLSCL with 16 RBIs and tied for the most extra bae hits with eight.
ABOUT THE GREAT LAKES SUMMER COLLEGIATE LEAGUE
The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The league currently consists of 13 active franchises in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
