Scouts DeClue wins GLSCL Pitcher of the Week
GLSCL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 3

GARRETT DeCLUE - XENIA SCOUTS - UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS
Garrett DeClue threw a seven-inning no hitter for the Scouts on June 18 against the Richmond Jazz. DeClue struck out seven batters walking just one while needing only 86 pitches to complete the historic feat. The no-hitter was the first in Scouts history and the first by a GLSCL pitcher since 2017.
For the season, DeClue has a 2-0 record with a 2.00 ERA. He has struck out 19 batters in 18 innings of work and issued just three walks over the course of his three starts.
DeClue game to the Scouts from the University of the Cumberlands, an NAIA school in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He went 4-0 for the Patriots in 12 appearances with a 4.00 ERA in 45 innings of work. DeClue was the winning pitcher in the Mid South Conference tournament championship game as the Patriots defeated Freed-Hardeman University.
The Patriots won its second consecutive MSC tournament crown finishing with a 46-16 record falling to Tennessee Wesleyan in the NAIA Opening Round Championship Game.
The Littleton, Colorado native pitched for Xenia in 2019 and is joined by his brother Grant playing for the Scouts this summer.
HONORABLE MENTION - Pitcher of the Week
EVAN ETCHISON - XENIA SCOUTS - GRACE COLLEGE
Etchison pitched a nine-inning complete game defeating the Licking County Settlers 9-1 on June 24. Etchison struke out seven batters while scattering four hits and only gave up one run. He improved his earned run average to an impressive 1.80 for the season.
CARTER DOORN - LIMA LOCOS - PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Doorn struck out nine batters over the course of six shutout innings in a 9-0 Locos win over the Muskegon Clippers. Doorn allowed just three base runners on one hit and two walks for his first win of the season.
ALEX DICKE - GRAND LAKE MARINERS - NOTRE DAME COLLEGE
Dicke threw eight innings earning his first victory of the season on June 21 against the Licking Settlers. The Mariners won the game 3-2 behind Dicke’s three-hit performance striking out two batters.
NICK POWERS - MICHIGAN MONARCHS - MICHIGAN STATE
Powers recorded seven strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Muskegon Clippers. He gave up just one unearned run and five hits while not allowing a walk.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The league currently consists of 13 active franchises in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
