Clippers Justin Osterhouse wins Player of the Week

GLSCL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - July 8, 2024
Justin Osterhouse - Muskegon Clippers - Purdue Fort Wayne
Justin Osterhouse went 11-for-22 at the plate in six games for the Clippers this past week. Osterhouse’s complete slash line includes a .607 on base percentage and .772 slugging percentage. He hit one home run with four RBIs and three doubles along with seven runs scored and four stolen bases. His three doubles all came on July 7 capping off the week with a 4-0 win over the Southern Ohio Copperheads.
Osterhouse leads the GLSCL in hitting with a .439 batting average. Despite having his eight-game hitting streak snapped on July 6, Osterhouse recorded four multi-hit games during the week.
The Grand Rapids, Michigan native just completed his freshman season at Purdue Fort Wayne. Osterhouse starting 38 games on his way to being named 2nd-team All-Horizon League and to the All-Freshman team. His .355 batting average was fifth best in the league with nine home wins and 38 RBIs.

Brayden Fraasman - Hamilton Joes - North Carolina State
Brayden Fraasman was 12-for-25 on the week with a .480 batting average, a .548 on base percentage and a .577 slugging percentage. Fraasman scored 10 runs during the week driving in five RBIs and hitting three doubles. In six games, Fraasman recorded four multi-hit games with three hits in three of those games.
Blake Bowen - Lima Locos - University of Akron
Blake Bowen followed his Player of the Week performance last week going 8-for-20 at the plate. Bowen hit for a .400 batting average with a .480 on base percentage and .550 slugging percentage. He is second in the GLSCL with 25 RBIs on the season after driving four runs during the week.
Case Sullivan - Southern Ohio Copperheads - Valparaiso University
Case Sullivan went 7-for-13 at the plate in five games for the Copperheads. Southern Ohio won four of those games with two series victories. Sullivan reached base on seven walks helping giving him a .519 base percentage along with a .692 slugging percentage. He also scored five runs driving in three RBIs.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of 7 active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
